Description: The discovery of Nickel deposits spanning 20 km could see the country’s production capacity increased significantly, government has already shown commitment to raise its capacity to meet the country’s annual steel demand of 6.8 metric tons. Nickel is sold primarily for first use as refined metal in manufacturing of many other alloys, while about 65 per cent of it is consumed in the west. Nickel is the main material for the production of batteries in electric cars and energy storage from solar and wind power generation. With the drive by the world governments towards a pollution-free future, nickel appears to be that future. At the moment, Nigeria’s current output of Nickel is below 2.5 metric tons per annum, produced mainly from scrap irons.

Ioryoosu Josephat Terna is a lawyer and BIPC Company Secretary. He obtained his National Diploma in Law and LLB Honours at Benue State University Makurdi in 2006 and 2011 respectively. He attended Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus for his B.L and was called to Nigerian Bar. 


Terna is a versatile and cross-dimensional professional with extensive experience in commercial legal practice, organizational development, and public policy advocate. A highly accomplished attorney complemented with over 12 years of legal experience specifically in the area of litigation, regulation, and relevant industry experience. He has consulted for several local and international organizations in the areas of commercial transactions, organizational development, and public policies.

 
A member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Institute of Management, and Centre for Dispute Management and Resolution. He is regularly consulted on issues of commercial dispute resolution, transaction advisories, and public-private partnerships.

Diana H. Uba

Head, Marketing

Diana H. Uba is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience serving as the Head of Department for Marketing and Sales. With over 23 years of industry expertise, she has specialized in developing comprehensive Marketing Strategies tailored to various products within the company. Her background encompasses strategic management and marketing within both the Hospitality, Oil and Gas sectors.


Diana’s journey with BIPC began in 2001 as a Marketing Executive in the Real Estate and Hospitality Department. Since then, she has seamlessly transitioned through various roles and Strategic Business Units (SBUs) within the organization, including managerial positions such as Manager of BIPC Hotel in Kaduna State and Manager of BIPC Oil & Gas in Makurdi. Wende Tavershima Noel is the Unit Head of Internal Audit and Control with over 15 years of extensive experience in corporate planning & strategy, Accounting & Auditing. 


He Started at BIPC in 2009 two years after completing the NYSC program in 2006, as a branch Cashier with the rank of Accounts Executive. Since then, Wende have navigated through various departments within the company, including Finance, Budget & Accounts, Business Development and Strategy, Internal Audit and Control, and ultimately, Internal audit and Control. All these years, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to organizational growth and efficiency, serving in pivotal roles such as Accountant commodity trading for two years and contributing to numerous management committees. 


With a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Benue State Polytechnic and an Associate of National Accountants of Nigeria, Tavershima has brought a blend of academic knowledge and practical expertise to drive strategic financial decision-making and ensure the long-term success of BIPC.

Joshua Nyipira

Head, Administration and Human Resources Management

Joshua Nyipira is a seasoned professional with nearly two decades of experience in Business Administration, Risk Management, Personnel Development, and Corporate Communication. Armed with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the National Open University of Nigeria and supported by postgraduate diplomas in Management and Education from the University of Mkar, Benue State. An Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Joshua has honed his expertise to drive organizational success. 

 

His tenure at renowned institutions such as Ecobank Nigeria Ltd and Oceanic Bank International Plc has equipped him with a proven track record of excellence in relationship management, marketing, leadership, team supervision, and strategic planning, contributing significantly to business growth and profitability.


In his current role as the Ag. Head of Administration and Human Resources Management, Joshua has demonstrated a proactive approach to optimizing employee welfare, talent development, and performance management. Jerry Iosun

Head, Real Estate and Infrastructure

Jerry Iosun currently serving as the Department Head of Real Estate and Infrastructure as of March 1st, 2024, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role. 

 

Previously, he held the position of Unit Head in the Project Planning and Development division of the department. In this capacity, he effectively managed the construction of various projects while overseeing aspects such as budgeting, quality control, and overall project management. Jerry’s adeptness in interpersonal communication has also seen him excel as a liaison and technical advisor on many of the company’s key facilities.

Dr. Raymond Terfa Asemakaha is the BIPC’s 23rd Managing Director/CEO, appointed by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Benue State Rev.Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia on the 29th of October 2023 for a tenure of 5yrs. Dr. Asemakaha is an accomplished International Finance Consultant with over 16 years of experience spanning policy formulation, public finance, and project implementation. He excels in fundraising, financial risk assessment, and asset-liability management making him invaluable in expansion initiatives. He is adept at monitoring capital and money markets, ensuring compliance, and protecting stakeholders’ interests. His expertise lies in dissecting financial projects into actionable insights and efficiently managing revenue.

With a diverse educational background, including a Ph.D. in Business Administration Management and an MBA in International Business and Economics, Dr. Raymond holds prestigious certifications such as Chartered
