Brief History
BIPC Was Incorporated As A Limited Limited Company On 18th October, 1979 And Commenced Operations In March, 1980. The Company Is Wholly Owned By The Benue State Government. At Inception, The Company Had A Share Capital Of Five Million Naira (N5,000,000.00). This Was Increased To Twenty Million Naira (20, 000, 000.00) In 1992 And Further To Fifty Million Naira (N50, 000, 000.00) In 2002. Of The N50 Million, The Benue State Government Holds Thirty Million Naira N30, 000, 000.00 While Benue Properties Company Holds Equity In The Company To The Tune Of One Million Naira (N1,000, 000.00) Leaving Nineteen Million (N19, 000, 000.00) Shares For Further Allocation. Currently, The Company Has An Asset Base With A Market Value Of Over Eighteen Billion Naira (N18, 000, 000, 000.00).
